Legend has it that Buddha asked all the animals to meet him on the Chinese New Year.
Twelve animals came, and Buddha named a year after each animal.
Buddha named each animal’s year to reflect the animal’s personality.
The horse birth years are 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978 and 2002
